Guckian believes FBD League will provide good preparation for Leitrim

Leitrim manager Brendan Guckian says he believes next year’s Connacht FBD League will be a great preparation for the National League.

With no college teams taking part in January’s competition, each of the counties in the province will play each other in a round-robin format next season.

And Guckian told Ocean FM he believes that provide some good tests ahead of their league opener in February…

Meanwhile, Guckian has added to his backroom team ahead of the 2018 season.

The St Mary’s Kiltoghert clubman is preparing for a second year in charge, and told Ocean FM that he has enlisted Kieran Keogh and Enda Lyons to work with the players over the winter months.

With the likes of Michael Moyles and John O’Mahony also remaining part of the set-up, Guckian is hoping to hit the ground running next season…
