Minister Moran visiting Donegal to see flooding damage



The minister with responsibility for flooding will arrive in Donegal this afternoon.

Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran is expected about 4:30pm in Killybegs, where homes and businesses were recently flooded after heavy rains and high tides caused the local river to burst its banks.

He will visit the north Donegal area later and tomorrow where certain areas like the Inishowen peninsula were devastated by flooding in August.

Minister Moran will meet elected representatives in Carndonagh at lunchtime tomorrow and he will stop in Donegal town for meetings on Wednesday morning.

It’s his second visit to the county since August, when he first visited the Inishowen area.
