People in Ballisodare in County Sligo can find out this week what the future of the village looks like.
It follows a major survey carried out by the Community Council over the past number of months.
The village is well-known for its fishing club and popular pubs but it has struggled in recent years with empty unsightly buildings that have been left vacant since the boom.
Now the community council has assessed the surveys which have been filled out by 300 households in the village.
Local resident and member of the Council Finbarr Filan says people can come and hear the results at a meeting on Thursday:
