A Leitrim councillor says she’s not happy with a response she has got from the HSE about the availability of an on-call doctor at Our Lady’s Hospital in Manorhamilton outside normal hours.
Fianna Fail Councillor Mary Bohan says the HSE has told her that adequate doctor cover was being provided by the CareDoc service.
But Cllr Bohan says this is not adequate as CareDoc has a wide area to cover.
Instead, she wants a hospital-based doctor on-call at all times.
She says anything less is not fair to patients or staff.
