Kilcar have bridged a 24-year gap to claim the Dr Maguire Cup.
They beat Naomh Conaill from Glenties-Fintown by seven points to four in a low-scoring and tense Michael Murphy Sport & Leisure Senior Championship decider at Mac Cumhaill Park in Ballybofey.
Both sides managed just one point apiece in the second half, after Kilcar had led by six points to three at the break.
But with man of the match Mark McHugh and captain Patrick McBrearty prominent, Kilcar stayed on top to finally get over the line in the championship.
Barry Doherty’s side can now aim for a double, as they currently lead the Senior League Division One.
In the championship, they will turn their attention towards the Ulster Senior Championship, and face Monaghan champions Scotstown in the quarter-finals.
Scotstown beat Magheraclone by 2-17 to 0-13 in today’s county decider.
In league action, Aodh Ruadh secured top-spot in Division Two without kicking a ball at the weekend.
Cloughaneely’s defeat to Ardara means the Ballyshannon men cannot be caught at the top.
