There are two candidates going forward for the position of Mayor of Donegal Town as the close of nominations passed yesterday evening.
Vincent Callaghan and Padraig Kennedy are the two candidates who will now go forward for election in two weeks time.
The position is an honourary role and Vincent’s wife Patricia Callaghan has been Mayor for the last four years.
The election will take place in the John Bosco Center on the 25th of October.
