Upgrade for Calry water supply



Irish Water is to upgrade almost two kilometres of water pipes along the R278 road in Calry, Co Sligo.

The work is expected to particularly benefit residents in the Fivemilebourne area, along the Sligo/Leitrim border, where the supply has for years been discoloured and unfit for drinking, bathing and laundry.

The work to be done, costing €190,000, will involve the replacement of old cast iron pipes.
