42 patients on hospital trolleys in NW



There is a high number of patients waiting on hospital trolleys in the north west today.

In total, there are 42 people waiting for a bed in the north west with 31 of them in Letterkenny University Hospital, while 11 people are waiting in Sligo University Hospital.

26 people are on trolleys in University Hospital Galway.

The worst affected hospital in the country is South Tipperary General Hospital, with 40 people waiting for a bed.

The national figure stands at a high level once again with 473 people waiting, following on from last week when there was over 500 people on trolleys
