The Irish Natura and Hill Farmers Association is calling on the government stop the closure of rural Post Offices for the next five years.

The INHFA says that new contracts propsed by An Post will see the closure of a large number of Post Offices in the coming years.

INHFA spoksperson Brendan O’Malley says that the contracts would be in breach of industrial relations law and should not be considered for inclusion.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Seanie Boyle of the INHFA says that stopping the closure of Post Offices for 5 years would be suffcient time to resolve the crisis.
