Ocean FM receives three nominations in IMRO All-Ireland Radio Awards



Ocean FM has received three nominations in the prestigious IMRO All-Ireland Radio Awards for this year.

The awards are formerly known as the PPI Radio Awards.

The three nominations are The Francie Boylan Show for Best Comedy Programme, ‘Whats Snots 13 years later’, which is a re-union between Francie and a contestant on RTE children’s programme, The Den.

Niall Delaney, presenter of North West Today, is nominated as Speech Broadcaster of the Year.

And Niall Delaney and Claire Ronan are nominated in the Specialist Speech category, for ‘The Golden Man:The Mystery of Peter Bergmann’, a feature they broadcast on the unidentified body washed up at Rosses Point in 2009.

The Awards night will take place tonight, in the Lyrath Estate Kilkenny.
