OPW urged to provide new garda station in Glencolmcille

The Office of Public Works should invest funds in providing a new Garda station in Gleann Chom Cille, Co Donegal

That’s according to Liam Ó Cuinneagáin, a director of Udaras na Gaeltachta, who says that the OPW has sold the old Garda station premises in the area.

The Garda Interim Report published in the wake of the controversial reopening of Stepaside Garda Station in Minster for Transport, Shane Ross’s constituency, recommends opening 6 stations, one of them being Gleann Cholm Cille.

Speaking to OceanFM, Mr Ó Cuinneagáin says that the OPW should invest in the community builing in Kashel village.
