The R280 has now re-opened after a road traffic accident in the early hours of this morning.
The incident happened on the Manorhamilton to Carrick on Shannon road at Tuckmill Park, and Gardai were notified at 5am this morning.
Gardaí have confirmed that there is no vehicle at the scene of the incident.

Garda policy states that the forensic unit is called in when there has been an accident causing serious injury or death.
Manorhamilton Gardai are appealing for anyone that was travelling along the R280 which is the main manorhamilton to Carrick on Shannon road, between 3am and 5am this morning to contact them if they have any information.
The Forensic Investigation Team have completed their work and the R280 is now open.
