Sligo Rovers have dropped back into the relegation zone without kicking a ball in the League of Ireland Premier Division last night.

St Patrick’s Athletic’s shock 2-0 defeat of Shamrock Rovers at Richmond Park sees the Saints climb from tenth to eighth, with Rovers dropping into the bottom three along with Finn Harps and Drogheda United.

The Bit O’ Red are a point behind Galway and two off St Pat’s with four games left.

Their next match is at home to Bohemians on Saturday week.

Rovers defender Kyle Callan-McFadden insists his side will only focus on their own results…

Meanwhile, Cork City missed the chance to wrap up the title after being held to a 1-1 draw by second-placed Dundalk at Turner’s Cross.
