International experts will be coming to Sligo today as part of the Spanish Armada International conference.
It’s all part of this weekend’s Celtic Fringe Festival which celebrates the history of the Spanish Armada ships which were detroyed off the coast of Streedagh in 1588.
As part of this for the second year running a spanish naval ship will arrive in the North West.
The ship called ‘Aronmendi’ is too big to come into north Sligo it will arrive in Killybegs this morning.
