Club championship round-up from Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal and Fermanagh



Kilcar will face St Michael’s in the Donegal Senior Championship semi-final, following their 1-20 to 1-9 win over Bundoran yesterday.

The other semi-final will see Gaoth Dobhair take on Naomh Conaill.

The Glenties men narrowly beat Killybegs on Saturday, while Gaoth Dobhair knocked out St Eunan’s.

In the intermediate, Aodh Ruadh will face Milford in the semi-finals after their 2-14 to 1-7 defeat of Buncrana at the weekend.

St Naul’s will take on Fanad Gaels after their narrow defeat of Glenfin.

Fanad Gaels knocked out Naomh Columba with a 3-9 to 0-10 win.

In Leitrim, Glencar/Manorhamilton’s senior championship replay against Aughawillan has been set for next Saturday at 5pm in Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada.

Aidan Rooney’s men scored the last three points of the game to earn a draw with the reigning champions on Saturday.

The replay winner will face Ballinamore Sean O’Heslin’s in the semi-finals, after last year’s intermediate champions proved too strong for Dromahair.

An understrength Melvin Gaels suffered a heartbreaking injury-time defeat to St Mary’s, where a late goal saw the Kiltoghert side advance on a 3-4 to 0-11 win.

St Mary’s will now face Mohill.

In the intermediate, Drumkeerin’s one-point defeat of Cloone has earned them a semi-final spot with either Leitrim Gaels or Fenagh/St Caillin’s, who drew their quarter-final yesterday.

In Sligo, Coolera/Strandhill beat Calry/St Joseph’s, Tourlestrane defeated Coolaney/Mullinabreena, Tubbercurry beat Eastern Harps and St Mary’s defeated Curry at the weekend.

As a result, Tourlestrane will play Calry, Coolera will face Harps and St Mary’s will take on Mullinabreena in the quarter-finals; while Tubber qualify for the semi-finals.

In the intermediate quarter-finals, St Farnan’s beat Bunninadden, St John’s beat Castleconnor and Geevagh defeated Enniscrone/Kilglass at the weekend.

In Fermanagh, Devenish are through to the senior final thanks to their 0-9 to 0-8 defeat of Tempo.

They will play the winners of the replay between Derrygonnelly and Roslea.

Belcoo will contest the intermediate final against Lisnaskea after beating Maguiresbridge in the semi-final.
