Fianna Fail’s proposed tax breaks for developers have been described as “the height of stupidity”.
The comments come from Sinn Fein Finance spokesperson, Pearse Doherty, who says the proposal doesn’t bring any radical changes.
Fianna Fail’s suggestion is to reduce the VAT to 9% for up to three years for developers, as well as reduce development levies for those who commit to building new homes as soon as possible.
