The Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance is open to applicants until the 30th of September.
Under the scheme, many parents or guardians qualify for the payments automatically if they are receiving social welfare, taking part in a recognised education or training course, working in an approved empoyment scheme, involved in an area partnership or attending a FET, Failte Ireland or LES training scheme.
Children must also be aged between 4-17 on or before the 30th September 2017. If they are aged between 18-22 they must be in full-time second-level education in a recognised school or college
