Donegal IFA branch to meet in Innishowen tonight (Thurs)



The officers of the Donegal branch for the Irish Farmers Association are holding a meeting in Innishowen tonight to discuss the impact of the floods last week.

Many farmers on the peninsula were flooded destroying land, equipment, shed and livestock was simply washed away.

Chair of the IFA in the county Michael Chance says the scale of the damage has still not been calculated for the farming community.

He says they will meet this evening and they also intend to hold the county executive meeting in Innishowen in two weeks time:
