A father of five who has been remaned in custody following a serious stabbing incident in Sligo will appear again before Harristown District Court in Castlerea this Friday.
Michael Sweeney, of Old Bundoran Road in Sligo, appeared before Letterkenny District Court on Saturday evening.
A husband and wife, Martin and Margaret Sweeney, were injured in the attack which occurred in Crozon Park in Sligo almost a week before, during the early hours of the previous Sunday morning.
All three were treated in Sligo University Hospital, where armed gardai had been on patrol following the incident.
Gardai objected to bail for Michael Sweeney.
