Donegal County Council update on roads



Donegal County Council is continuing to assess the impact of the heavy rainfall on roads in the north of the county.

In an update on the roads situation, it says the R239 Muff to Quigley’s Point road remained closed overnight to allow for further remedial works due to extensive damage.

The Clashygowan Road in St. Johnston, from Rankins towards McGills, is closed while the R238 Cockhill has reopened.

On the R244 Craignahorna, where there has been a masonary arch collapse, local diversions are in place.

Local diversions also in place on the R240 Riverside road where a concrete structure collapsed.

The R238Gortaran road has reopened.
