After Donegal flooding: Clean-ups, ministers’ visits and action plans



Government Ministers are working to come up with an action plan that will prevent flood damage seen in Donegal this week happening again.

Transport Minister Shane Ross and Flooding Minister Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran met residents and local businesses hit by the flooding on the Inishowen peninsula last night.

Donegal County Council is continuing to assess the impact of the heavy rainfall on Tuesday night with some roads reopening last night.

However, Ocean FM News is awaiting confirmation on how many people exactly are having to seek alternative accommodation because of flood damage to their homes and businesses.

Donegal TD and Minister Joe McHugh says help is available from the Council but the government now needs to come up with a plan to ensure this never happens again:
