Leitrim’s Emma Cleary on duty in Women’s Champions League



Manorhamilton’s Emma Cleary made her first appearance officiating at the UEFA Women’s Champions League yesterday.

The Leitrim native was assistant referee, along with match referee Paula Brady, for the Group 9 Qualifying tie between Serbian side Spartak Subotica and Israeli side Qiryat.

She will be back on duty on Friday, as the Serbian side take on Breznica of Slovenia in round two.

Cleary will also be assistant referee for the final group game involving Subotica and Norwegian side Avaldsnes on Monday.
