Donegal promotes its many library services

A senior librarian in Donegal says libraries are now more than places from  which to borrow books.

Today, the library in the county sets out to tell the public about the huge range of services it provides.

It includes providing e-books, free wifi, story and craft time for children, supporting festivals, promoting local history and providing informaton on employemnyt and the European Union.

Donegal Library service will outline all that it has to offer in a new promotional video to be launched this evening at 6:30pm.

There will be two launches at the same time, in Gweedore Library by Cllr Micheal Colm Mac Giolla Easbuig, cathaoirleach of Glenties Municipal District, and in the Central Library in Letterkenny by Council Cathaoirleach Cllr Gerry McMonagle and Letterkenyn Mayor Jimmy Kavanagh.

FIlming for the video, entitled ‘Transform, Enrich, Inspire’, took place at these two libraries.
