Harps lose out to Cork as Rovers turn attention towards Scottish Challenge Cup



Finn Harps remain in the bottom three of the League of Ireland Premier Division.

Ollie Horgan’s side were unlucky to lose 1-0 at home to leaders Cork City in Finn Park last night.

Garry Buckley got the only goal of the game in the second half, as John Caulfield’s side moved to within five points of securing the title.

Meanwhile, Sligo Rovers have confirmed that their first game in the Scottish Challenge Cup will take place on Saturday week at 7.45pm in the Showgrounds.

The game against Scottish Championship side Falkirk is the Bit O’ Red’s next outing as they have no game this coming weekend, following their first round elimination from the FAI Cup.
