Leaving Cert: New grading system sees more students try honours



Leaving Cert students in the region have been anxiously opening their brown envelopes at schools around the region today.

In the North West almost 3400 pupils sat the exams and got their results today.

The Principal of St. Mary’s in Ballisodare, Suzanne Thorne says she has definitely seen more students taking honours subjects as a result of the new grading system which now allows some points by reducing the pass threhold.
