A family fun day will take place in Sligo Town on Saturday next, August 12th in conjunction with the Annual Lough Gill Hospice Swim.
Now in its sixth year, the event consists of three elements. The first being a 10k swim from Parke’s Castle to the Boat House at the Back Avenue followed by a relay which takes place at the pontoon area.
This will be followed by a new element to the race which is the skins/wetsuit one mile swim.
This year’s event includes a family fun day at the boat house the Back Avenue which takes place from 12pm to 4pm and entry is free.
The event has to date, raised €137,000 for various charities.
