Donegal people experience small earthquake



The earth has moved in Donegal.

It happened when a small earthquake was detected in the north of the county.

But it was minor, measuring just about 1.5 on the Richter scale, yesterday morning, with people around Milford first reporting tremours.

No damage was done.

The Irish National Seismic Network has been momitoring this area for more than 40 years.

Director Thomas Black says events such as this are not uncommon in that part of Donegal.
