Ciaran Martyn the latest Sligo man to link up with Ballinamallard

Gavin Dykes has added another Sligo native to his Ballinamallard United squad ahead of the new Irish League season.

Former Derry City midfielder Ciaran Martyn has moved to the Fermanagh club from Glenavon.

He featured in the middle of the park for most of last night’s 2-0 friendly defeat to Sligo Rovers, along with fellow Sligomen Jason McCartney, Ross Taheny and Sligo resident Richard Brush.

Former Boyle Celtic striker Niall Brennan also featured for Ballinamallard in last night’s game.

Donegal’s Ryan McConnell and Shane McGinty were also part of the squad.
