Works yet to be carried out before Dromahair estate can be taken over by Leitrim Co Co

North Leitrim councillors have been told work still remains to be done on a housing estate in Dromahair before it can be taken over by the Council.

At a Manorhamilton Municipal District meeting, Fine Gael Councillor Frank Dolan asked about the Forest Grove Estate in the village.

Senior Roads Engineer Shay O Connor said the works include final road surfacing and the undergrouding of overhead cables.

The works are to be done by the development company through the offices of a court-appointed receiver.

Councillors were told that once these works were completed, further consideration could then be given to the request for the council to take the estate in charge.
