There are now just a small number of tickets left for the novel Finn Harps underage teams’ ‘Banquet on the Bay’ fundraiser, which is taking place this Saturday on the Waterbus in Donegal Town. ‘Banquet on the Bay’ will have senior team manager Ollie Horgan as special guest for a fun night that is aimed at raising money to run the Harps U15, U17 and U19 teams who are taking part in National League competitions.

Finn Harps Secretary John Campbell said that tickets sales were very encouraging and club was now looking forward to a unique night of entertainment on Donegal Bay and afterwards in the Central Hotel. “We have had great interest in the fundraiser since it was announced. It’s going to be a great night so we would just ask people that are interested to contact us as soon as possible because there is only a limited number of tickets left now” Mr Campbell said.
On the night here will be onboard entertainment which will include at least one surprise artiste doing a solo musical slot during the cruise and afterwards guests will sit down to dinner in the lovely Central Hotel, Donegal Town. There will be an array of very attractive spot prizes during the evening.
James Rodgers head of the Finn Harps Youth Development Programme said it was a new concept for the club in terms of a fundraiser and he is hoping that families and friends involved with the underage teams as well as members of the business community will support the drive to nurture the best talent across Donegal with the aim of producing players in the future for the League of Ireland team.
“It’s something different and hopefully it will be well supported. It should be a very entertaining evening. We will be getting on board the Waterbus from 6.15 with the cruise starting at 7.00. We’re delighted that Ollie Horgan our senior team manager will be a special guest for the fundraiser. So we would like to see all that have an interest in the Finn Harps Youth Development Programme joining us in Donegal Town on Saturday 29th. After the cruise there will be a four-course dinner in the Central Hotel in Donegal Town to complete the night’s entertainment” Mr Rodgers said.
The ‘Finn Harps Banquet on the Bay’ is on Saturday 29th July in Donegal Town, boarding the Waterbus from 6.15 p.m. Cruise starts at 7.00 with on-board entertainment and spot prizes.
