Sligo County Council treats oil spill

Sligo County Council says its staff has now treated an oil spill on the R292 road from Ballydrehid Bridge, just off the N4 exit for Ballisodare, going through Kilmacowen toward Culleenamore, Strandhill.

Gardai in Sligo had issued a warning to motorists to drive carefully on the road.

There had also been reports of an oil spill on the N17 between Clarke’s Bridge and the junction with the roundbout on the N4 at Collooney.
