‘Missing’ Meath man last seen in Sligo is found safe and well

A Meath man who was reported missing at the weekend after he was last seen boarding a bus in Sligo in June has been located safe and well.

Aonghus Ryan, from Dunboyne in County Meath, was reported missing after friends and family hadn’t seen him in the ten days between June 30th and July 10th.

Mr Ryan was reported safe on Monday after it had transpired that he had been camping in Donegal. The 39-year-old had taken a bus towards Donegal Town before visiting Tory Island, and the north west coast. He was uncontactable due to a poor mobile phone signal in the area.

The Meath man only discovered that he had been reported missing after he visited a friend in Grange in County Sligo yesterday (Monday) morning.

His family have told Ocean FM News that they are relieved to have him back.
