Bodies of two men taken from the water at Malinbeg



Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of two men at Malinbeg close to Glencolumbkille in County Donegal earlier today.

 

The bodies of a man in his 50s and a man in his 40s were taken from the water close to the area.
The body of the man in his 50s was discovered at approximately 10.30am by a local farmer. The body of the second man was then found at around midday following a search by the Sligo based Coast Guard helicopter.
Bundoran RNLI, the Aranmore Lifeboat and the Killybegs Coast Guard were also involved in the search.
Ocean FM News understands both men had been fishing in the area and that the rib in which the men had been travelling in had washed up at rocks close to Mailnbeg.
