A man in his 70s has died following a single vehicle accident in West Sligo this afternoon.
The tractor in which the man was travelling overturned on a cul de sac off the N59 between Ballina and Dromore West, close to Culleens at approximately 2.30pm.
The man, who is understood to be from the area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has since been brought to Sligo University Hospital where a post mortem examination will be carried out.
The road was closed for a short time this afternoon as Gardaí from Ballymote conducted a technical examination of the scene.
