Carthy calls for Ireland to take stronger stance in Brexit talks



The government needs to take a stronger stance when it comes to negotiating Ireland’s interests during the Brexit negotiations.

That’s the warning from the Sinn Fein North West MEP Matt Carthy.

He says Ireland’s position has to be pressed much more strongly during the Brexit talks.

Yesterday MEPs rejected a bid to give Northern Ireland special designated status in the European Union.
