Fundraiser to be held in Lough Allen Hotel, Drumshanbo in aid of Brian Clarke



A fundraiser for the ongoing medical treatment for Brian Clarke is due to take place later today.

The fundraiser begins at 9pm this evening in the Lough Allen Hotel, Drumshanbo. In April of 2015, Brian suffered a severe fall in his home that threatened his life. He had to be airlifted to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where he underwent weeks of treatment before he became stable enough.

He was then transferred to Sligo University Hospital and later Our Lady’s Community Hospital, Manorhamilton. Brian is in need of 24 hour care and will ne a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

The fundraiser has been organised by the friends and family of Brian to help the raise the necessary funds.

Among live music and other events, there will be an auction on the night with over 90 items to bidded on, such as U2 and All Ireland Tickets to a bag of turf.

Speaking to Ocean FM news, Chair of the fund, Seamus Herrin told us what to expect this evening.
