Local mental health campaigners meeting with Minister at the Dáil this morning



A meeting is taking place in the Dáil this morning to discuss concerns over mental health and respite services in the North West.

Members of Our Voice, Their Future North West, a group campaigning for the improvement of mental health services for young people in the region, are meeting with Finian McGrath, Minister with special responsibility for disabilities.

They hope to outline to the Minister, their concerns over the lack of mental health and respite facilities for young people in the North West.

The meeting, which is due to get underway at 11 o clock, has been organised by Sligo/Leitrim Sinn Fein TD, Deputy Martin Kenny.

Also attending the meeting is Sligo’s Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy. He outlined to Ocean Fm News what the group hope to get out of the meeting.
