At least four candidates expected to seek seat on Donegal County Council



It’s now expected there will be at least four candidates seeking the Donegal County Council seat left vacant since last April following the death of Fianna Fail Councillor Sean McEniff.

The Bundoran man was Ireland’s longest serving councillor.

His daughter, Elizabeth McIntyre is seeking the seat as is Billy Grimes, a former Ballyshannon town councillor.

Two other candidates have now also emerged.

They are Michael Naughton, a Sligoman living in Laghey and a former election candidate, as well as Roger Meehan from Dunkineely.
