Good luck to our club captain Neil Ewing as he leads Sligo out against Antrim this Saturday evening in round 1A of the All-Ireland football qualifiers. The match is live on Ocean FM from 5pm.

The Sligo ladies team are also in action in the Connacht Intermediate football championship against Roscommon the same day. Best of luck to our club players involved – Rachel Monaghan, Sinéad Regan and Michelle McNamara.

A four-goal blitz by the junior men’s footballers in the closing 10 minutes plus a match-winning point by Seán Flanagan with the last kick of the game gave DRP a dramatic one-point victory over Curry in Curry, in Division 4 of the league last Saturday evening. That makes it four wins our of four so far. We host Owenmore Gaels this Sunday in Oxfield at 1pm. Last Saturday’s team was: Shane Creamer, Eunan Cannon, Shane Flanagan, Hugh Kisby, David Collins, Aaron McCormack, Paddy Gormley (Player-Manager), Declan Gallagher, Joseph Keyes, Colin Ginty, Jack McDermott, Hughie Cannon, Tom Armstrong. Sub used; Seán Flanagan for Jack McDermott.
