Martin and Morrissey banned for Friday’s northwest derby

Sligo Rovers and Finn Harps will both be without attackers for tomorrow’s big northwest derby at the Showgrounds because of suspension.

Liam Martin is out for the Bit O’ Red after accumulating five yellow cards this season, while Danny Morrissey is banned for Harps following his late red card in Harps’ 3-2 defeat of Limerick last weekend.

Harps boss Ollie Horgan will also serve a one-game touchline ban for Friday’s tie, and will watch the game from the stands.

Kick-off in the Showgrounds tomorrow evening is at 7.45pm.

Meanwhile, former Sligo Rovers manager Paul Cook has departed Portsmouth to take over at fellow English League One side Wigan Athletic.

Cook led Portsmouth to the League Two title last season.
