Details of a new historical trail around Sligo will be announced this afternoon with the unveiling of the first phase of a series of plaques in the town.
Seven plaques will commemorate people and buildings of note.
The launch will take place at 4 o clock at The Yeats Building.
It’s hoped to have 20 plaques erected by the end of August.
Twenty-thousand information leaflets will also be distributed to hotels, guest houses, tourist offices and other outlets.
