Sligo company wins North West Regional Award

Studyclix.ie, an online study aid for both Junior and Leaving Certificate students, which was set up by an Enniscrone teacher has won the North West Regional Award at the recent National Enterprise Awards.

The annual awards which are organised by the Local Enterprise Offices celebrate Ireland’s micro-enterprises.

Studyclix, which was set up by Luke Saunders, who teaches at the Jesus and Mary Secondary School in Ennsicrone, sorts all the past major exam papers into topics and for each question, gives students access to tutorial videos, marking schemes and sample answers.

With over 100,000 registered students and 26,000 registered teachers, Studyclix is now Ireland’s largest study and teaching website.

Luke was presented with the North West Regional Award by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny at a black-tie ceremony in the Mansion House in Dublin.

He was quick to acknowledge the assistance of the Local Enterprise Office who he says gave Studyclix the start it needed in terms of funding and start-up advice:
