Hopes for vacant units at Aurivo in Achonry



A Sligo based Councillor says he hopes the vacant Aurivo premises at Achonry can be developed as a food hub or food production facility, for local small and medium businesses.

The facility has been empty since Aurivo moved their butter production to the Ornua plant in Mitchelstown in County Cork last year.

A brochure has been put together in an effort to attract local businesses to the five vacant units at the south Sligo address.

Local Fine Gael Councillor Dara Mulvey says Sligo County Council are currently on the third print of the brochure such is the interest in the facility.

Speaking to Ocean FM News today, Councillor Mulvey says the units are a great attraction to any small to medium business given its location and modern design.
