Ocean FM News understands the temporary barrier to the Connaughton Road car park has this afternoon been removed.
A mattress had been hung across the entrance to the car park last night preventing vehicles from accessing it. But Ocean FM understands the blockage was removed earlier today.
It follows recent complaints from motorists in Sligo that they were unable to drive into the car park.
There had previously been a wooden pallet tied across one part of the entrance while a gas tank was left in another part.
