Overcrowding remains a problem in the accident and emergency department at Letterkenny University Hospital this evening.
The department is the busiest in the country today with 38 people on trolleys.
Elsewhere in the region, In Sligo University Hospital, there are 12 people on trolleys, while that figure stands at 15 in Galway University College Hospital.
There are 411 people on trolleys in hospitals across the country today.
