Letterkenny A&E is country’s second busiest

The accident and emergency department at Letterkenny University Hospital is the second busiest in the country.

There are 30 people waiting for a bed at the Donegal facility.

In Sligo University Hospital, there are 3 five people on trolleys, while that figure stands at 14 in Galway University College Hospital.

The most crowded A&E in the country was St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny with 31 patients waiting for a bed.

There are 366 people on trolleys in hospitals across the country yesterday.
