Farmers angry at Glas delays



A west of Ireland TD says farmers are totally frustrated and angry at the continued delays in the payments under the Glas scheme.

Independent Roscommon Galway TD Michael Fitzmaurice says Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed must take responsibility for this situation and tell farners when these payments are going to be made.

The latest figures in response to a parliamentary question to FF TD Eugene Murphy showed that 208 farmers in Donegal, 99 in Leitrim and 76 in Sligo still have not been paid.

But Michael Fitzmaurice says if Fianna Fail are so concerned about this issue why don’t they vote against the government.
