TD queries why Sligo family had to travel to Monaghan for respite



A Sligo Leitrim Fianna Fail TD is raising concern about respite services for families of people with disabilities.

Speaking in the Dail, Eamon Scanlon has called for clarification on why a Sligo family recently had to travel to Carrickmacross in county Monaghan to avail of respite.

He says this is putting undue pressure on families.

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny did not have a clear answer but said he would ensure that further information is provided for these families.
