Irish Water is to upgrade the watermains in the Rathbraughan area of Sligo Town.

For some time, there has have been repeated interruptions to the water service as a result of bursts.

Irish Water will soon seek tenders for the upgrade works.

It hopes to start work this summer and have it finished early next year.
