TD claims North West will lose out due to lack of investment for decades



A Sligo/Leitrim TD is claiming that, with Brexit, the North West is now going to lose out because of decades of lack of investment in infrastructure in the region.

Sinn Fein Deputy Martin Kenny says companies in Britain who wish to relocate to Ireland will not come to this region because many of them want quick access to cities with ports and airports, such as Dublin.

He made his comments yesterday during a debate at the joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport.

He says expenditure on projects such as the N4 and N5 should not been seen as a cost but rather as an investment.
